Sports Commentator

Sports commentator & broadcast journalist

Trained at the BFF–AFC Commentary Workshop in October 2024, I have since called nine tournaments and series across cricket and football — from the Bhutan Football Federation A-League to men's and women's T20 internationals at Gelephu, including a world-record spell. Twenty-one years in Bhutan's national side shape how I read a match and explain it to an audience.

Formally trained

My commentary started with formal training: the BFF–AFC Commentary Workshop, run by the Bhutan Football Federation with the Asian Football Confederation, 3–5 October 2024 in Thimphu.

The certificate was signed by the Bhutan Football Federation's General Secretary and Director of Media and Marketing, and by the AFC's commentary facilitator. Within weeks I was on air for the BFF A-League — and the Quad Series cricket at Gelephu that same month.

I was the official commentator when Bhutan's Sonam Yeshey took eight wickets for seven runs against Myanmar at Gelephu International Cricket Ground — the best bowling figures ever recorded in a T20 international.

A player's eye

Two decades in the Bhutan national team — reading conditions, match-ups and pressure moments from experience, not from the scorecard.

02

Inside Associate cricket

Team Manager for Bhutan at the ACC Men's Challenger Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier in 2026 — close to the players, pathways and stakes of Asian Associate cricket.

03

Cricket and football

A national cricketer who also played A-Division football — and now calls both, from international T20s to the Bhutan Football Federation A-League.

04

The story around the game

Club, governance and commercial experience to explain what sits behind a result — selection, development, funding and the road to qualification.
